Reselling Sneakers

Sneaker entrepreneurs have been around for years. Now it’s way too much competition out there. But don’t worry these tips will still help you make money.

Sneakers Resale value depends on the concept of supply and demand. The lower the market is for the sneaker, the lower the resale price. Highly sought kicks that are limited editions or low stock will increase your resale price. You need to study the resale market, so you don’t oversell and get no buyers or undersell and be mad later.

Tip 1

The first step to reselling your shoe is to know what you’re selling. Several factors determine the sneaker worth. You need to know the original stock level, colorway, brand, and size.

Don’t worry about purchasing your size. You are not buying the kicks for you. You are not going to make a lot of money off a size 18 men sneaker or size 12 women. Big feet don’t sell fast. Popular shoe sizes are men 9 to 10.5 and women 7 to 9.

Tip 2

Take good pictures of the sneakers. You have to close up of the details. Make sure to shoot from all angles, box, and tags. No one wants to see the sneakers on your feet. Don’t show your hands on the shoe. These two things are a turn off for buyers. Also if there is a small defect on a sneaker, admit it. Make sure to show a picture of it.

Tip 3

The box is just as important as the sneaker. Sneaker collectors like undamaged boxes to organize their sneakers. If the box is damaged or you don’t have the box, you will need to drop your price.

Tip 5

Don’t sell to family and friends.  For some reason, they don’t grasp the fact you are selling for a profit. They always want retail price. It’s annoying so skip the drama.

Tip 6

Buy at retail so you can flip it for profit. There is no point of paying $1000 for a sneaker to flip it for $1500 when you can buy it at $160 and flip it for $1500. You need to make friends with people who work at a local sneaker store. Sneaker releases drop at 10 AM for retail price. Sometimes you will need to have your phone and computer ready to try to catch it. Do not leave the browser or you risk losing out.

Tip 7

Sell on the right platforms. If you are new to eBay with zero feedback, no one is going to buy from you. Too many scams there. People want to buy from established sellers. Create an account on consignment shops Flight Club, StockX, Stadium Goods, GOAT. There are more, but these are my go-to’s. The consignment shops are the middlemen. You sell on their website, and once you get a buyer, you will need to ship the sneaker to shop. They will have someone inspect to sneaker to make sure they are not fake and in good condition.
