For years I was so insecure about my legs that I would wear jeans in the summer and just be dumb hot. I don’t know why my cellulite bothered me so much, knowing it’s so prevalent in women, but I just kept thinking people would see it and judge me. I was in my own head. Then one day, I just got over and said fuck it. I’m wearing shorts all summer long, and now I have no issues. It feels good being free about something that tied me down for so many years.
I’ve been looking for short shorts for a long time but kept coming up short. You get it; pun intended lol. I know I’m corny. I gave up on the search. Started thinking about thrifting and cut jeans up. In luck, Tabria Major and Fashion to Figure did a summer collabo. I found vintage mom short shorts. I wish I got both colors. Everything was selling out so fast I hurried up got this wash. They have a great stretch. Only a little bit of cheeks showed depending on my stance. I got size 22 but could have sized down. It was a hit because when my man came to pick me up, he talked about how good I looked in them and gave more butt slaps than usual lol. I like the fact they were not riding up.
I paired it with the slinky spaghetti cowl strap bodysuit so I wouldn’t have to tuck and a shirt. I had this bag for a little over a year, and I finally found sneakers to match. I love bright colors, and I don’t know how I missed the Nike Air Max 97 Triple Volt when they came out. I sucked it up and got them off GOAT. They look better in person. If you wear size ten or below, you may be able to find them in SNIPES.
