I can’t believe this is my 1st time ever rocking a bikini. Even in my slim days I would rock tees and basketball shorts. I’ve use to bee so insecure about the stretch marks on my stomach. I knew that Essie’s Golden‘s Pool Party was going to be live and I wanted to rock a swimsuit no one else had on lol. I stared at the swimsuits on Swimsuits For All and kept going back and forth between a one piece or bikini. Now I’m mad at myself because I should of been rocking bikinis a long time ago. Self love brings the best out of you.
It actually took three swimsuits to make my look. I bought the Swim Sexy Red Halter High Waist Bikini first. I didn’t like bottom. On me they looked like granny panties and were extremely high waisted. So I opted with a Target’s Plus Size Ruched Side High Waist Swim Bottom and I loved the fit and where it stopped on my stomach. I bought my mom the Beach Belle Poolside One Piece with Matching Sarong and took her borrow her sarong to go for a monochrome feel with a splash of red. It came together perfectly.
