The DC Full Figured Fashion Showcase is returning to Washington DC for it’s second year! This year (2015), The DC Full Figured Fashion Showcase will be apart of the first ever DC Full Figured Fashion Week, which will take place April 30th-May 3rd, 2015.
The Washington DC area is home to many full figured women who love fashion and who embrace their curves. These women and the DC community want to see great styles and designs on the runway and they want to see them modeled by women who represent their size and body type. District Of Curves is giving these women and the DC area what they have been longing for.
The show’s creator, Mickey Armstrong, along with his executive officers will be bringing the full figured fashion spotlight to the Nation’s Capital with a series of events aimed at the “Curvy Community.” The world of full figured fashion is finally starting to receive much needed and well deserved attention. Full Figured models are making great strides in the modeling world, and designers and retailers are starting to realize that the full figured woman is a valuable customer. District Of Curves provides a platform for models, designers, retailers, boutiques, and all who cater to the Curvy Community, to showcase their talents, designs, products, and services.
Many people from all over the DC Metro area attended the 2014 event at the Washington Post Conference Center. Big names such as Ashley Stewart, Fashion To Figure, and IGIGI were among the retailers and sponsors who participated in the groundbreaking show. The 2015 DC Full Figured Fashion Week will consist of several events, however, the crown jewel of the week is The DC Full Figured Fashion Showcase, which will feature fashions from local designers, retailers, and boutiques from throughout the DC, Maryland, and Virginia areas as well as other areas.
