Since I’m a retired sneaker head I still look but I don’t buy like I use to. I’ve glad I was in the era where you could walk in and walk out. Stores didn’t have long lines. Also the prices of sneakers have gotten more expensive. Lets be honest I doubt Nike gave the people in the 3rd world country that makes the sneaks a raise. I won’t go there today lol. Nike has made a new Twitter RSVP Process to ease the process of getting new releases. I know some people just don’t feel like waiting in line for hours then get to the front and they clerk tells you your size is sold out. Now if you are not a sneaker person don’t count them out. I still buy certain sneakers as investment pieces. Let me give you some example. In Dec I bought the Jordan 11 Breds for $185 (ridiculous) I sold them on eBay for $700.

On RSVP date, a tweet will be sent out at a random time to start the RSVP process containing a circled hashtag in the product image. Once registration is open, you must send a Direct Message (DM) to the store in order to participate. The DM must include:

  1. The product-specific hashtag found circled in the image tweeted by the store
  2. Your first and last name
  3. Your shoe size (limit one)

Confirmations from the store will be sent via DM to those who have successfully secured a spot in line for their requested size. Product will be awarded on a first-respond, first-served basis for your requested size.

Confirmed recipients must pick up their product (in person w/ identification) from the store on the day of launch during the timeframe specified by the store. Unclaimed product will be re-released at the store’s discretion

How do you properly RSVP through DM?

Make sure you are following the store Twitter account in order to send a DM.  Nike does not need to follow you because its Twitter accounts are verified.
